The new transducers have been specially designed to respond to the technology advances in drives and inverters, which require better performance in areas such as common-mode influence, thermal drifts (offset and gain; Max thermal offset drift for the models with reference access: 7 to 30 ppm/K according to the models), response time (less than 0.3 microseconds), levels of insulation and size.

LEM has introduced several ranges of PCB-mounted current transducers housed in a package 30 percent smaller than the company’s LTS devices. The CAS, CASR and CKSR family of transducers are intended for AC and DC isolated current measurement from 6 to 50A_RMS nominal, up to 3 times the nominal values for the peak measurement and up to 300kHz (+/-3dB). All the models (6 A_RMS, 15 A_RMS, 25 A_RMS and 50 A_RMS) are housed in the same compact package and can be set up on PCB according to the needs for different ranges from 1.5 A_RMS to 50 A_RMS (according to the models).

The new DF-AC series also features very low maximum peak forward voltage (VFM) up to 11% lower and very low thermal resistance, Rth(j-c) up to 14% lower compared to conventional devices.

Thanks to the 17mm flat case height design, the new DF-AC series and DD-AB series can be connected with IGBT or MOSFET modules at the same 17mm case height. This advantage typically reduces needed parts and manufacturing cost. It also enables level parallel connections for larger capacity, contributes to reducing stray inductance, improving high efficiency and reliability.

LEM extends its LTS range of +5V current transducers with unit offering current output

LEM has added to its LTS range of current transducers designed to operate from a single +5V power supply. The LTSP model measures positive and negative AC, DC and pulse currents on printed circuit boards and provides a current output instead of the voltage output provided by the other units in the family. This allows the LTSP to detect currents up to at least 14 times the nominal current.

The LTSP uses the same ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) as LEM’s LTS and LTSR models. This device, designed by LEM, allows the high performance offered by the Hall-effect closed-loop current transducers to be offered in an extremely small package (22.2L x 10W x 24H mm). The LTSP provides better offset drifts than units based on traditional discrete technology, as well as access to the internal reference (2.5 V) on a separate external pin, for use with microcontrollers and/or A/D converters.

The transducer’s multi-range configuration has been designed for nominal currents of 8A, 12A and 25A_RMS with galvanic isolation between the primary and output circuits. The current output allows users to manage the accuracy level and thermal drift by selecting the output resistance. The choice of the output resistor also allows the designer to adjust the gain to suit the application.

The LTSP transducer is CE marked, UL recognised and conforms to the EN 50178 standard for industrial applications. It is provided with a five-year warranty, as are all LEM industrial products.

The comprehensive range of emergency stops of the companies Schlegel and DUX has been expanded by a new type with king-sized protective shroud. This emergency stop as well is foolproof according to the latest safety regulations and is also TÜV approved. The high border of the yellow shroud makes it impossible to operate the E-stop by accident, whereas the two openings allowing easy release y turning to the right or left. The protective shroud can be illuminated by means of 8 LED's. This E-stop can be optionally supplied with key release (even special keys are possible). At the bottom of the mushroom is a green ring indicating the switching position.

The minibox is a flat enclosure, easy to mount, with yellow lid for emergency stops.
This enclosure will suit you well if individual emergency stops have to be installed at external
places of installation, e.g. along production lines or at protection fences.
The dimensions of the enclosure are geared to the edge length of a 40 mm profile rail but, once provided with a top-hat rail, the enclosure can also be mounted on fl at surfaces of all kinds.

Sloan introduces single colour led stripes of 400mm length with 40 SMD Led on it designed fpr 24VDC applications. The Led stripes can be used for ambient lighting in various applications. There are nearly no installation limitations due to it's low mounting height of only 3.7mm. The stripes can easily be applied to flat surfaces with adhesive tape or screws.

LEM introduces triple current measurement in single housing

LEM has introduced the HTT series of PCB-mounting current transducers to provide the facility to measure three currents with a single PCB-mounted unit. The new transducers, with maximum measurement currents ranging from 25 to 150 A_RMS, allow three-phase currents to be monitored independently by a unit occupying a mounting area of only 16.8 cm² and with a height of only 29 mm.

The HTT transducers have three 12 x 10mm apertures for the primary conductors and are securely mounted by four metallic pins, which are soldered to the PCB. Secondary connections for power supply, 0 V and the three voltage outputs are also made to the PCB by pins.

Five different models using the same housing are available to cover nominal current measurements of 3 x 25, 50, 75, 100 or 150 A_RMS, working with a bipolar power supply of ± 12 to ± 15 V. The use of open-loop Hall-effect technology allows DC, AC or pulse currents to be measured and provides galvanic isolation between the primary and output circuits, withstanding a test isolation voltage of 2.5 kV_RMS/50Hz/1min.

The transducers conform to the EN 50178 standard and are CE marked according to European Directive 2004/108/EEC. They are particularly suitable for industrial applications and home appliances, such as variable speed drives, UPS, SMPS and air-conditioners. The HTT series is covered by a five-year warranty.

LEM has introduced the ITL 4000-S current transducer for non-invasive measurement of currents up to 4000A_RMS in conductors of up to 268mm diameter. The new transducer allows the isolated measurement of AC, DC and pulsed currents, up to three times the nominal value for peak measurement at frequencies up to 50kHz (+/-1dB).

Temperature Power Sensor - M2H,M2HA

200°C to 400°C range is considered a high temperature for a bimetal type thermostat. The disk type thermostat has difficulty satisfying the necessary requirement beyond the operational temperature 230°C. The new M2HA high-temperature thermostat is capable of operating up to 450°C. Calibration from 200°C to 400°C are available with tolerance down to ±15°C and differentials as small as 20±10°C. The M2H is capable of 2 million mechanical cycles and over 100,000 electrical cycles as for the regulating temperature and also as for the protector at IP60 rate.
